Seems like you took a close look in Shimizu as well as some of karlos youtube videos, didn´t you? Shimizu method differs somewhat as he uses an inner hemi made from kraft paper only. Our shoot in Sept was great, most all of my shell worked just great. The 12" I have not video.I was shot over a 1/4 mile away. The main stars were not dry and did not work very well.
