Some of my first shells. 3", 4"

Just wanted to share some shells I made. These were my first shells. Cut and rolled stars. Could have had the camera farther back, and I wish it picked up the gold better. I tried rolling the slow gold comp, but the sponge titanium wouldn't roll into the comp. It all just seperated. :/ My favorite is the Hardts Brocade comp. As you can see/hear, I rolled them on dragon eggs since it was all I had at the time. The next batch will be on mustard seeds.

Well done on your fist shells. I like the fact that you tried to roll your stars, keep it up and you'll improve.

 

Hardt brocade gold is one of my personal favourites, it is a very nice C based streamer, something between a traditional willow and a faster C based streamer such as TT/C8.

I'd say those are pretty good for your first shells of that size. I think there must have been something wrong with the willow diadem, if it's the formula Ned had posted on skylighter. I've made it with the "suggested skylighter materials" and it does come out to be a long hanging diadem/brocade type of effect.

I like the long hangtime of Willow diadem, you have to make small stars to prevent fallout in my experience.
