Â This hobby combines and uses all my interests, whether it's constructing specialized pyro tooling by hand or electrical/electronic e-match firing systems or reloading BP metallic cartridges for my old military rifles. They all compliment each other. I thoroughly enjoy the hard work and effort others have put into their beautiful pyro displays and if I can possibly accomplish a thousandth of what I see here on APC, I would be happy. Zumber Posted January 21, 2013 Author Share Posted January 21, 2013 we do firework because of our tradition:-D a few hundred years ago our God used to go at her sisters home twice in a year during july and on the day of Dussherra.the path was going through forest so in order to afraid wild animals they were making use of loud pyro stuff,torches,and other pyro stuffs and its became our tradition.The reason I just cant share my pyro videoes,because we make firework only Once a year on dusshera but we will make all kinda fireworks from skylanters to huge rockets.I just cant paste youtube link as i am using mobile internet.If you want to see that biggest rocket just do search on youtube.The tag is 'Brahmos of kavathe ekand' ,'500 rockets at a time','kavathe ekand dusshera'.I am sure you will really love it.Thanks if someone else will copy and paste those links here. No reloadable shells at all, only small diameter cakes loaded with so much flash you go blind just thinking about it. That and lots of exploding fireworks which aren't really my favorite. In my country they used to fire guns on Easter hundred years ago and earlier. This was supposed to kill the witches, who were flying on their brooms to have sex with the Devil. Even if they have laws on them they are clearly not enforced (unless you are stupid enough to light them at 3am, religious holidays excepted of course). They use them in weddings, funerals, company openings, new years, god's birthdays, etc. Even saw a news about temples firing display shells (not festival balls, but 4" and over) from the back of a pickup truck! I also had the best mother when it came to this, at five or six I got some candle stumps and a metal platter to play on, and she'd let me light the stumps and play around with the fire. She did this so we could learn to understand and respect fire, rather than to fear it as she had been taught as a child. My siblings grew out of this after while, but I grew into it instead and was allowed to play.Both my parents have trusted my judgment whether it came to fire, electricity, heights or anything else that interested me. And I'm proud to say I've never set a fire I couldn't control, and hardly ever done anything to disappoint this trust. Yes I did get shocked, burnt, I blew a few fuses, and filled a room with smoke once, but I learned quickly from any mistakes. These days, I do pyro in order to entertain friends, to learn new things, to be creative and because I love this entire process from getting an idea and all the way trough planning and execution to a finished result. And in this hobby the payoff for a job well done is usually spectacular (which it can be for a job not well done also). I love to experiment and test things, and I love the science behind it all. Electronics, potato cannons and skydiving are my other two big passions. In my skydiving buddies, I have an appreciative audience who understand what I'm on about and are equally crazy as I am - in all the right ways. People were shooting off class C a couple days before the display on the 4th. The next day I had to go into town to pick up some pyro in a box to prepare for some fun for ourselves. I bought some cakes and some aerials and generally had a good time. The next night was the display and after watching the respectable small town display and consuming a few beers I said, "I can do that". AirsoftSmokeScreen Posted March 8, 2013 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Because it's fun, it's addictive and it's nice to know you have made it yourself.Since I was a kid I was fascinated about smoke bombs and I still am, made a lot of them from ping pong balls and other materials Last year I have finally found the " legendary smoke" composition and bought a 25 kg bag of KNO3, 20 kg of paraffin wax and lot of sugar So with such amount of KNO3 I moved a little forward to flares/torches.In conclusion I'm more into ground pyro ( like football ultras) and I want to know that whenever I want I can make smoke bombs, flares, bengals, fountains and strobe pots.And I'm pretty sure I will remain with this low level of pyro ( I'm not saying I'm not attracted to sky pyro shows, I love them, but only made by others ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I read all I could and asked a million questions of what chems do and why and importantly the safety aspect.Making your own good lift and stars and getting it right is a real thrill for me. I am not a flash fan and use BP and benzolift for breaks. It would not have happened if I did not have any support from APC. So ........... Oinikis Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 i made fireworks becouse i love explosions, theyre beatifull, and it is a quite an engineering chalenge. but now i've setled with my true love i guess, rocketry. im into aerodynamics, planes, rocketry, and astrophysics very depply, so now i make rockets, and use my unvaluable pyro experience in creaating timing mechanisms, parachute deplyments and such.
