ryanlg95
I'm not a fan of these types of scales for pyro. I reckon a pyro scale should be at least .1g accurate. Especially for smaller batches like 10g of flash, you can be .9g off which can make a big difference to your ratio. For larger batches like 500g of blackpowder, it wont matter as much, but I'm a perfectionist so it still bothers me. I'd choose a small capacity but high accuracy any day over a high capacity but low accuracy scale.
Col
He should be ok for smaller batches if his 100g scale still works, it should be accurate to at least 0.1g. I find a 600g (0.1g) and a 100g (0.001g) covers most eventualities, 5kg fs could be useful for weighing potatoes
brimstoned
My little scale is accurate to 10 mg, so I'm still good for small batch materials. The larger one is good for BP, whistle and candle comps. Edited September 17, 2012 by brimstoned
AirCowPeacock
Do you notice a difference in flash at that accuracy? (Say you were making 10 g flash in the 10mg vs 10 g flash in a 100mg? Edited September 21, 2012 by AirCowPeacock
