pyrojig Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 i know this might be frowned upon but I go by tube bend. like when the tube starts to go outward a little I stop. my tubes are thick walled and it seems to give good compression.... thoughts on this? Lack of consistency. Your performance will not be the same or repeatable . the integrity of the tubes may be compromised. When pressing at high pressures your NEED a tube sleeve to withstand the pressures that commercial motors require. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Col Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) Its not a very accurate guide to pressure, if you use a tube support you`ll be able to put a lot more pressure on. Pyrosailor, i don`t know where you are located but i used a Sealey Tools short bodied ram, its the same thing. Maybe you have a Sealey Tools dealership somewhere in the country? .
