Bangkokpyro Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) Attached is a pic of 3 case formers for making 3 inch shells (one without handle)The former is 12 inches long. Handle is 5 inches long and 1-1/2 inch diameter.The former section has a diameter of 2-1/2 inches and is 7 inches long to make a shell that once strung and pasted will give enough clearance to fit a 3 inch gun.The recess in the bottom is 2-3/4 inches deep and 1-1/4 inches wide, this gives a big enough recess to allow for a fuse or flash bag to be inserted into the casing before pleasting the end closed.The formers have a 3/8 inch diameter hole drilled throughout the length to allow air into the casing. Without the hole as the casing is slid off a vacumm forms inside making it difficult to slide the casing off the former.This size of former is ideal for single break shells or single colour break and report shells.
