3" TigerTail Shell

Details:

 

Stars: ~70 g TigerTail, 10 mm pumped

Pasting: Pasted with 10 layers of 30 lbs. kraft using 3-strip method

Ignition: Fired electrically (by my brother) with a 3 second spolette

Burst: BP on rice hulls (4:1)

Lift: 15.3 g Pulverone

That was an excellent shell! I really liked the slow burn time on the stars it makes for a longer lasting effect. Very professional looking construction. nice rising comet tail. That was a beauty!

Is the desired lifting charge usally Pulverone as shone here...http://www.pyroguide.com/index.php?title=Pulverone_-_Black_powder just curious if I should use this method or just milled BP for a 3" lift charge!
