Fulmen
I know. I also have a oven for heat treatment and a Rockwell-tester We got the rest of the inventory in today, still have to wire for electricity and organize everything but it's coming together quite nicely. Fulmen
Well here's my little shop. Pretty cramped, but I'll manage.
mikeee
Fulmen, The Bridgeport mill reminds me of one I used to operate decades ago, they run forever.
lloyd
Yup! I've got an early-80s Bridgeport R2E4 that I converted to Centroid control. It's too small a work envelope for my tastes (only 12" Y x 24" X x 5" Z), but it's a great mill! I've made thousands of parts on it. Lloyd
Fulmen
For CNC a plain mill would probably be a better choice, knee/universal mills aren't as stable due to the indexable head. But then again there is little you can't solve with such a mill, all it takes is time and creativity. For a home shop like mine it's pretty much the perfect mill.
