Wyvern Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Does anyone know of a Solvent for Antimony Trisulphide other than hydrochloric acid, reason being i have some 400 mech which i would like to recrystalize and grind down to ~200 mesh chinese needle. Mumbles Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 You can't grind it down to chinese needle, it is a naturally occuring shape. Your 400 mesh will be fine, and you will be hard pressed to find a solvent for Sb2S3 short of an acid. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However I find that anytime a pyrotechnic formula calls for Sb2S3 it doesn't really matter what form it is in(for my case atleast). I can't speak for all the pyros out there.
