SpikedCola
Right now Im using methanol in a jar, with a cotton wick, for an alcohol burner, and it produces a nice orange flame. In chemistry class, we were experimenting with various salts that create different flame colours. Is there anything I can mix with/into the methanol (or some other fuel) to change the flame's colour? Always wanted a vibrant green or red flame
rocket
Yes you can add salts to methanol to change the flames colour, if you had searched you would have found this thread: http://www.apcforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=
