Thank you guys :-)

@thatpyro

i used a 3" hemi for the lift cup............

@ Jopetes

For the ring i used the blue nr. 1 from your PDF . The other stars are TigerWillow3 .

I hope i can shoot this shell in a few days. I will post a video in this thread here :-)

Awesome video! Never really knew how those hemi lift cups were attached. Neat stuff.

VP, interesting that you crumple the glue soaked kraft strips. Does this allow easier application? I would think they might lay smoother on the shell.

I believe it's mostly to break the paper down and allow the paste to soak into it more.

Nice construction video as always VP!

Thank you guys :)

I crumble the paper to break the fibers down. This allow the paper to lay down smoother on the shell , and the paste can soak easier into to the paper.

If you look at the finished shell, the surface is pretty smooth :)

Hello VikingPyrotechnics.

gracias

Cool, I got the bowtie idea now :). That will work better for loud inserts as well I figure. Here in this video is a 3" with 1/4" pumped hardt green #5 around the equator on both halves and 5 .5 gram inserts...the delay on the inserts was too short and they kinda messed up the ring a bit, so placing them like you place the stars for a bowtie would take care of that. Getting the inserts to go off in the center is tricky with a ring I'm finding.

Thank you :-)

It´s the spanish blue Nr.1

Have you experimented with No2 at all? It has the copper powder.

Sweet VP !! and the shell blew oriented as it was in the tube. Another shell I have to try and build :)

In slow motion it almost looks like the blue gets a bit pale about halfway through the burn. I wonder if that was just the camera making an adjustment?

But it looked very good! Both the shell and the color.
