That looks far too Wet. Your patty allready started to float away.

For cutting 10% Solvent, by weight, is most times a god Starting point, for pumping about 7%.

For rolling you will introduce just as much solvent as you need to make the stars pick up comp.

Gun, you should really use the search feature on this forum. I, like you, am new to pyro and knew very little as of a few weeks ago. However, using the search feature as well as Youtube, Skylighter, etc., I've learned a LARGE amount of information. For example, there are hundreds of videos and forum posts on this exact topic explaining in great detail how to wet your star comp. I know it's easy to ask and wait for an answer, but it's far better to learn for yourself rather than be spoon fed. Also, it keeps the forums nice and tidy.

Please keep this in mind.

This is far too wet. Like I stated in your other post, you have to be careful when wetting charcoal heavy stars. They require much less than you would think.

We certainly could. You'll get more out of it if you try to find it yourself first though.

Gun maybe you should think about signing up to passfire or fireworking and read their tutorials. Do you read the skylighter project plans? These three are a giant source of information, you propably would be amazed about all the things they have.

Also have a look at the youtube channel of ned gorski. He published quite a lot of bery god tutorials (But keep in mind to use the proper ppe, as i often spears them out to be able to make better tutorials, which once resulted in a barium poisoning for him)

Can someone send me a pic of how wet they should be

43 minutes later, and it turns out you were right. Mum could no longer handle it.

Look. I'm all for answering questions as best i can, and hell, i find myself asking stupid questions all the time. But there has to be something said for figuring out some of the basics from reading whats available.

If you read the forum carefully for a month and read some of the highly regarded classic texts you should learn enough to produce good safe fireworks. ALL the information is here on these pages.

Someone who HAS read the whole forum should be able to make good competitive ground and aerial fireworks easily and largely safely.

That's basically what I'm doing. I've been scouring the forums and the web for info and have been learning a lot. Haven't made a firework yet, waiting until I'm ready. This is like a train wreck. It's hard to look away.

It's not often, if at all, you see Mumbles cuss in a forum message.

Yeah, I'd say he's reached and probably surpassed the limit of tolerance.
