dynomike1
Dam: The Russians are always first LOL Thats pretty good to get a 4" ring to break that good. I bet a 4" strobe ring would look good.
Niladmirari
Trying to get a gradual color change from pole to pole shell. 5 segments, parallel to the equator with stars size 7,8,9,10,11 mm.

ExplosiveCoek
Ahh, ghost shell's are quite difficult from what I understand. Seems like some stars were mixed? Nevertheless good break, and I think you are quite close to the preferred ghost shell shift.

a_bab
Your approach makes sense, but I guess the Japonese would use the same star diam. and the shift is controlled by the amount of rolled color, with a star diameter control of 0.5 mm for each batch. They must really be masters of star rolling. The effect was impressive though and I don't think there are too many such attempts as of yet. Congrats !
PIL
Ghost shells are definitely difficult to build. Here's some ideas and I hope some of them is useful.1.The burn rate of blue comp and the red comp should be the same so that stars burn out at the same time. 2 The same star diameter supposition is reasonable.3.Larger stars and a real hard break can show up the wave change more clearly. PS :The color is really good . Would you share your blue star formula if you don't mind. Edited August 9, 2016 by PIL
