Bobosan
gohjiejing, It is fast enough to burn you badly. Please use a punk or straw stick to ignite and wear safety gear like gloves.
AdmiralDonSnider
Judging on what the video shows I guess it will do the job. You will have to granulate it for use as a lift powder. In the long run you will have to switch to more efficient means of BP production. In absence of a ball mill the CIA method is an option, using finely divided C and S. Other than that nater is right on safety. Neither is a garage a safe place to test nor is your ignition method a safe one. You should probably reconsider if you feel you are experienced enough for shellmaking.

leedrill
the cia method is reasonably safe if done safely with ppe and the knowledge that bp can bite just as hard as any comp we work with. can i suggest that after everyone telling you not to light bp inside and you come out openly and say you where making r candy inside that it should be obvious that your methods will be frowned upon if you read about these things before making them you will see one of the two most stated things are no gas stove , AND NOT INSIDE , please read more before trying these things in the future and you will realise nothing we do is technically safe pyro is a calculated risk and we are all human sometimes we calculate wrong and get the wrong answer but please make sure you have the right numbers to start with or the calculated risk becomes an inevitable disaster

Sammikins
It's quality black powder, but you need to be safety conscious. Never light the comp, that's just asking for trouble, add visco or blackmatch. Lighting the corner of the paper is how I do it, it's not the safest way, but it's getting there. Always think of the consequences of what you are doing, that is rule number one. Sam
