4" Multisalute cylinder

Hi guys,

here is a 4 "multi Salute. There is a ring of seven reports, and then

4 single reports. Unfortunately, I have, apparently, the Timefuse for the individual reports

incorrectly measured and cut. Because, at the same time 3 lit, and then the last. All in all, still very nice to see and hear. :D

Nice shell. I've got a 4" I'm wanting to shoot as well but with the fire danger I'm airing on the side of caution and waiting for rain. May I ask what you made the reports out of and what did you fill them with. Seemed like a nice deep tone from them. Mine always seem to be a high pitched crack as opposed to that nice deep tone.

yep fred, with these cylinders you can make soo much. :D

@ JFeve81

for the reports I use very thick tubes and plugs. I think

the stronger the confinement, the deeper the tone.

#viking: do you use 7/3 for reports? Since you emphasize strong confinement I am in doubt.

Did you make the mascleta in the picture too? I am very interested in that article, it seems you did a beautifull job. Did you fire it already?

best

Yes fred,

it is 7/3. But I use slightly coarser aluminum.

Yep, I built the Traca. Mascleta is a whole show from tracas. :)

I've already fired. But, one of the firecrackers had the chain

demolished and went out from the half. <_<

Here's the video of it

vp: how very cool!!

How did you attach the quickmatch to the crackers? Did you add some kind of delay in the form of a not? I know they sell these strings commercially, but I ve always wondered how one can make one himself. Did you just pour the flash in the tube and used kraft and string to tie a not to prevent leakage of the flash??

thanks!
