Nessalco
Can anyone recommend a source for CMC? I don't find it being sold by any of the pyro suppliers - those that list it show it 'out of stock.' The best I've been able to find is this place: http://www.modernistpantry.com/carboxymethyl-cellulose.html?kw={keyword}&gclid=CNju7MyUs7MCFYKK4AodT0kAjw They want $26 for 400 grams. Pyrodood
I haven't tried this, so I can't say for sure buuuuut,I know cake decorators use cmc gum in their flowers to give them 'substance'...Damn, just realized how weird that is.Cake decorators and pyrotechnicians have someting in common. wow.OK, where was I?Ohhh yeah, so search for cmc gum on amazon, i found like a 8 oz container of it relatively cheap. dood
Megabusa
CMC is used in cake decorating as Dood says, it is also known as Tylo Powder. You'll get it on eBay. A little goes a long way.
