Midlands Pyrotechnic Association club shoot was held this weekend

in central Iowa. A good turnout of members attended the club shoot

while the weather was perfect each day and we had the full moon to

help us see our work in the dark.

Several suppliers were on site with Tooling and Chemicals for the members.

A large number of rockets & shells & lampares & effects were built during the weekend.

Both Friday & Saturday nights had plenty of fireworks display actvity.

Several investigative tests were completed for the PGI interests during the weekend.

Good food & "refreshments" were plentiful thru-out the week-end.

Everyone had a good time, anyone that did not make it, you missed a good one!

It was a good time. Unfortunately I was only able to be there on Friday, but I was assembled a 5" timed report to bottom shot on site that afternoon, and shoot it in the evening. I've been practising my rinfasciature technique, all of the inserts and bottom shot were dry wrapped. The plan is to eventually be making multibreaks completely on site.

I don't think there is any video of the shell, my friend's camera ran out of battery right after I lit the fuse. The 1st break was disappointing, but the timing of my bottom shot was about perfect; it ignited probably 10 feet above the ground. The guys around the fire pit were complaining that it was too high :)

DAMN! I didn't know about the shoot and had the time to come down and play too. Hey... wait a minute, was that on purpose? ;)

Just kidding guys, please keep up the good work!

Wonderboy,

That shell was great, the timing of the reports was right on!

Glad I was there to see you shoot it! :-)
