ActionTekJackson
Ok, so I may have the ability to start supplying large paper tubes for mortors, or whatever use you want. These would be roughly 3" ID x 1/4" Tube Wall x practicaly whatever length you want. I'm curious as to what lengths I should offer, and if anyone would actually be interested in these? I will ship overseas and if you find a price for what I have that is lower, I will beat it (prices without shipping only, I can't compete with shipping rates as I don't have my own shipping company... yet... ) I will get more specific Dimensions soon. weknowpyro
I would be intrested. I would think about 30" to 35" would be a good lengh.
cplmac
I believe 6" per inch of diameter is the standard. I have about 1100 3" HDPE mortars, and most of them are 18". I also have 250 of the 3" paper mortars you are talking about, and they are the same length.
Mumbles
Yeah, 6" in length for every inch of ID is the norm. Sometimes they will add one extra ID for the plug. Anyway, I may be interested in some of these, preferably in longer lengths. I've been looking for some good tubes to make large exhibition roman candles out of. Around 30- 36" would probably be the length range I'd be looking at. Not to put any ideas in peoples heads, but these are also an ideal size for 4" lampares. cplmac
Hey mumbles I might have a few spent 3" candles laying around in the garage. If I do I'll let you know the length.
Mumbles
I was just looking and for PGI they have to be 2" ID or smaller for comp. Oh well, guess I'll have some club shooting. My 2" shells are not up to par lately. Looks like at least a year or two more until we have Grandmaster Mumbles.

The plugs from these guys are really good. You will need to know the exact ID of your tubes though. There are about a dozen different ID's for 3" HDPE alone. I think the most common 3" is schedule 17. The wood plugs from these guys have a small 45 degree angle cut in one side of the plug so you can get them started into your tube a little easier. Really nice plugs, can't say enough about them.
