oldguy Posted April 16, 2012 Author Share Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) My under standing is she was built with an operational capacity of 100+ flights.She only flew 33. We "had" everything necessary for another 66 flights.Instead she & the launch capacity was gutted. It is an "embarrassment" at least to me, not to mention all Americans.We don't have any way to put men or equipment in orbit. Instead we depend on the Russians & pay them huge sums for the service. Neither I, nor any American should be dependent on Russia for anything.It certainly is not in our best national interests.
