saluterocket
this is my first try to make an electrical firing system, the housing is a project box, its capable of three fireworks at once, its got and led to indicate if the systems on, its works as follows, each switch has a pin directly in fron of it, you hook one aligator clip to the pin corrosponding to the switch and the other clip to the bras pin (cathode) you can do up to 3 this way or up to two from each pin, but then youl have two at once going off with each switch, here are the pictures igniter box overview- http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3760405 switch close up- http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3760404 indicater/warning light- http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3760403 the battery is a 12 volt lantern batteryif you have any questions feek free to ask. GlowinPontiac
looks good! you should get some binding posts to replace those screws tho. would make the connection more secure. and please tell me that pic of a salute in your gallery isnt using a AA battery as a casing! and that you didnt try to light that 1/2 inch long fuse. saluterocket
thanks everyone, that picture of the rocket, that was a test rocket to see how much weight a model rocket engine could lift, the header had no composition in it, it failed. that other thing is a 1/4 inch aluminum tube filled with smoke mix, before i learned of the dangers of metal casings
Bonny
I have finally finished my firing box...except key switch that I melted. It was built from an emergency light box. I added hinges etc... and gave it a coat of black paint. It has 20 cues and will be powered by 2-6V 7a batteries wired in series to give 12V. Each cue has an armed light when using the fire button, or I can bypass the fire button and directly fire by the toggle switches. Here's a pic:
