Chemguy
Hi, I have recently foung 3Kg of Potassium sulfate in my shed. Now I looked up on the internet for uses, to no avail. I was hoping I could convert it to the persulfate somehow, but I doubt this is possible. Any ideas or uses that any of you have would be keenly accepted. Thanks. optimus
Extremely good white strobes can be made with Potassium sulphate and Ammonium perchlorate.
Chemguy
Apparantly K2SO4 is fairly stable at room temperature, but at extreme temeratures it is a strong oxidizer.

There is a barium sulfate flash powder. I never made flash and don't intend to. If you get bored or something you should try it. It could be hard to ignite though.
