no i don't think so strobes flash as they go but don't leave a flashing trail these had trail that continued to burn after the star was gone. That looks more like strobe than a glitter.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

The trail is either a prime or a streamer before the strobe.

The effect is just from a long delay on the glitter effect.
The sky is my canvas, and I have 2,113 pounds of powdered paint in the workshop.

6in D1 glitter shells using 5um spherical Aluminum and finely milled KNO3
6in Di glitter shell using 25-30um spherical Aluminum and more granular KNO3
Those two 5um shells were D1, not white strobe...I liked the effect - I plan on using 1/4" stars as cores for color changing shells.

Different KNO3 mesh? Damned, more experiments.....what we'll do for science......
The few, the proud, the pyros....

...I know the feeling. I do the same thing; I'm out of one particular mesh/species of charcoal so I substitute what's on hand, I use a different KNO3, I change the moisture in my rolling of the stars, I dry them more/less, and they are SPECTACULAR. O.K., what made the difference???????The two batches weren't an attempt to be scientific in the least...too many variables changed at once.

By the way, when are you going to get to the Granite State? Bike week?

I really like the bursts of the aluminum, I used skylighters 325 spherical Al.
It does seem slow, and to slow for thundering aeriolites (I made some of those to).
I may end up breaking up the comets and make a 3''polka shell with no rules on star size, just as long as they don't reach the ground.
