02052007
Wasn't there an APC forum back in the day with tons of posts?
TheSidewinder
Do you mean this site: http://www.xsorbit2.com/users/apcforum/index.cgi If so, that won't resolve for me any more. A quick check by intodns.com says they have nameserver issues. The forum there was unofficially closed back in late 2005 when we switched hosts. That's too bad, there was a wealth of information there. That's exactly what I was talking about.
mike_au
Check out archive.org, it's a bit slow but it works. Sidewinder: If the original host comes back up, do you have administrative access that would allow you to dump the database out? There is alot of information on there that I found really useful and interesting, it would be nice if it could be moved to another host (I would be happy to put it on my vps if need be). Edit: actually archive.org seems to be missing a lot of content :/ Edited May 8, 2009 by mike_au
Mumbles
We tried, and they would not give us the database unfortunately.
FrankRizzo
That's horrible. Mumbles, you may want to edit your sig.
TheSidewinder
If it ever comes back up, I *THINK* we could get the database thru the forum Admin Control Panel's "SQL Toolbox". But I wasn't an Admin there, so I'm not sure. Something tells me it won't be back, though. And yeah, that's too bad. There WAS a ton of info there that we would have liked to have saved.
