120 Shot Z cake

Here's my latest cake. Although you can't see the effect clearly, the stars were rolled and changed affect 3 times, from Chrys#6-D1, then to either red or yellow.

Pre fire.

It took around a week, (the last one took 5) all I did was re-fuse the 100 shot and add another 2 rows. Although a few rows "jumped", I'm getting there with flame protection.

The first 2 rows were 'fire-all', but there should have been a 4 second delay between them, and then 4 seconds before Z mode, which worked. I should have all bugs sorted for my next cake......600 shot :)

Good lord...that was excellent! I'm surprised you didn't wait for the 4th...if you lit that at the bonfire parties I go to (6's and maybe an 8" ready to go) you wouldn't be able to pay for a beer all night...that was a lot of work.

Very nice!

Thanks qwezxc12 :) mmmm Free beer for good pyro, sounds good to me.

I would have waited for the 4th, if I lived in the US :P You've got to wait till november to see (hopfully) something special B)

Indeed, that was an excellent cake.

Definitely worth free beer!

Good job, and looking forward to the 600-shot.

WOWZA 600 shot!

what type of fuse do you use between shots? I only have BM, on my 9 shot cake the first 3 were perfect, the next three were a bit quicker and the last 3 went off at the same time, how should I fuse my cakes to stop this happening?

The Video still doesn't work :( could you possibly put it on youtube or something? i would love to see it in action.

fredbert- I use BM, but it must be of high quality!! If you look in the tutorials section you'll find my tutorial on Z cakes, which will make everything you need to know clear.

Just to add. In the tutorial I use gummed tape, but now I use foil tape. It gives much better results, also covering the QM between the rows with foil tape will give you better flame protection. These are just some points to remember when reading the tutorial, or building the (or a) cake.
