ravaz
I haven't seen any entries for the arial shell competition, so I'll break the ice. Here is my first submission for the APC competiton. The shell is an 8" Gold Glitter to Emerald Green Chrysanthemum with Silver tail. I apologize for not being able to get the whole shell in video - but my friends did the best they could and having a wide angle lense on the camcorder. Also, I apologize for the giggling in the video - they can't help themselves. Link to video: http://www.hpjvids.com/ravaz/ravaz_arialshell_1_8-G2G.wmv The shell was supposed to have a 5" inner petal of purple stars, but I didn't finish them in time - so next weekend. justanotherpyro
Very nice. I only wish I had a suitable launch site to do 8" shells.

Draco_Aster
Yah, sounded like those friggin 'ewoks' thing out of starwars in the background Excelent break. Is it just me or are we meant to have pictures of the device to show it was made by you? EDIT: Yah, Mumbles said -' A prefiring image must be submitted.' BigBang
Beat me to it Draco. And let us have these little sections for dicussion about the device so we all can learn, but how about another thread(s.) These would be solely competition entries with no discussion. Sound like a good idea?

ravaz
Is it just me or are we meant to have pictures of the device to show it was made by you? Sorry, I actually bought the shell pre-made from a vendor. Honestly, I don't have any pictures of the shell - no camera. If that disqualifies me that's cool, delete or lock this thread and I'll post a video with pictures when I have them. I did make 6 of these shells all the same exact way, if I post a picture of those will that count? It's the same exact shell and performs the exact same way - as all of mine do. But I'll follow the rules, so Mumbles let me know what you want to do with this one.
Rooster
Its okay. I can vouch for him. He has made many large shells before, and in my opinion, he has even made better ones than this one. The rule should be obeyed in the future though, that prefiring images should be shown. You could even edit in a prefiring picture of one of the other similar shells in your first post. Looking forward to seeing some of the other 8" ravaz! I may even try to beat them. Don't feel too safe
ravaz
Thanks, appreciate the comment. In the future I will show a picture of the final product before firing. You are right, I have made much better shells then this. It's just a basic single color Chrysanthemum and I needed to test the stars so I made the shell a few hours before firing it - so I kept it simple. I'll be shooting some more 8's, 10's and 12's and posting videos & pictures. Good luck!
Mumbles
Yeah, I know he made it. I am willing to vouch as well. A pic of a similar shell will be fine. This doesn't go for other people I don't know as well though. I do wonder sometimes if they are commercial due to quality, but I am confident he actually made it. Kilo_G
LOL, on the dinner table no less! "Ah, yes I'll have a slice of 8" shell please." Very nice pasting, your shells are always impressive. You should get a type 20 and start selling/MFGing.

Thanks, appreciate it. I wish I could manufacture and sell, but there really is no chance for a US manufacture to survive these days.

mr.pyro
Yeah you just have to drive an hour in any direction if you live in the city and then worry about if your gonna start the next big wildfire. And plus for firing shells, its all flat so anywhere in a valley that you do it, it can be seen for miles.

PyroPicasso
Dudeee, sick video like I said earlier, and yeah, once I can drive, me and some of my buddies might start going out to the desert and blowing the fuck out of everything. I wanna go to like goodwill, buy a washing machine, put 1/2 pound of flash in it, and drive away. lol. What the hell does that have to do with the competition, have fun killing yourself. Anyway ravaz do you mind posting that emerald green star comp?

You're dumbass, and I suggest you quit before you lose a limb before you give the CPSC more ammo and your local newspaper a story about "terrorist tests" in the area. I wish I had the space and materials to make 8" shells like that. Im getting tired of 3" and the small stuff.
