MadMat Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I tried to connect to Pyrodata.com and the home page came up but you couldn't navigate to anything... Is it dead and gone? Or is there some other URL that has a working connection? I used to use that site, for a reference a lot back in my early days of Pyro work. It had a LOT of very good information
Wilqu Posted July 5 Posted July 5 https://pyrodata.com/ I have no problems to connect with it. Maybe you have VPN turn on and it blocking it.
Peter Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I can connect to the site also, but it doesn't work properly. I can't recall the exact date, but, say, between one and two years ago I noticed the site was down, for weeks. When it came back up it didn't function well anymore; the (advanced) filter only gave back (SQL) errors; it never got solved. Just the other day I wanted to look up a composition; it was down again, to be up again 'the next day'. I noticed it worked (even) less good than before: where in, say, the last year, I could click on "Stars/Glitter" (in the main menu), and get a complete list of them (not a filtered list), since (at least) last week clicking an item in the Main Menu will also return me an error. I haven't clicked all menu items, but more than one, all give back an error at this moment.
Arthur Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Likely someone thought it was "terrorist material" and the site was taken down, or the author failed to pay the hosting!
redbullzuiper Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Its up again, sorry guys .. I need to make new website .. but its alot of work, i try to keep this up as long as needed, lots of things are broken. Took the site over from the original owner. 2 2
Peter Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Over the the years I used that database of compositions, with its great filter options, quite some times. I was happy the filter function was repaired in July, but unfortunately it is broken again, for at least a week (or two, or three, don't know exactly). Saying as a FYI, might you not know, mister redbullzuiper. Hope you can find the time to 'fix things', for that website/database contains a lot of (easy accessible) composition knowledge, which I hope will stay available in the form it is presented. Cheers!
