sepehr1 Posted March 13 Share Posted March 13 hello I wanted to make a safe firecracker should I use mortar and pestle to grind each ingredient and make bp with it or should I make 0.6 grams of kno3/al/s flash powder and I wanted to make a fuse with kno3 and sugar is that a good idea? Yeah you can make black powder by grinding Kno3 Sulphur and charcoal 'SEPARATELY' and mixing uniformly with fine mesh screen this can produce good black powder but for more energatic BP you need to mill it. You can make fuse using only BP use of sugar seems bad choice. As a begineer stay away from flash powder. Why you need Flash powder? if you really need it then wait till you get more experience. A mill is also useful for milling single ingredients, though there may be a need to have several mills to deal with incompatibilities between some ingredients. Zumber Posted March 13 Share Posted March 13 I dont prefer It doesn't have proper alignment even Jar is not good and most importantly its milling media. It uses glass marbles Professional Ball mill have lead shots which have high weight and non sparking performance.
