ThrownBiscuit Posted June 19, 2023 Share Posted June 19, 2023 It might be better to store it wet, (less prone to detonation, ignition, deflagration, degradation, etc.). If you planning to use it for lacquer, try dissolving the wet nitrocellulose in acetone which will somewhat displace the water due to being miscible with water. Then the lacquer can be applied to whatever you will use it for and the acetone will evaporate much more readily. Also the lacquer being in somewhat thin layers will allow the water content to evaporate more readily as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Arthur Posted June 19, 2023 Share Posted June 19, 2023 I have used a domestic de-humidifier inside a large cardboard box to dehumidify some comps, or simply pipe the dehumidified air into a drying box.
