Has the tungsten lamp been replaced by LED lamps in the USA?

In most parts of Europe LED has 100% replaced the tungsten filament lamp.

Usually a 100w tungsten lamp has been replaced by a 7, 8 or 9watt LED lamp.

For the most part for lighting anyway, incandescent bulbs are still sold though, primarily for warming purposes. The incandescent bulbs are great for rabbit hutches and keeping pullets warm. They also work well in the older incubators.

Recently I have purchased a LED desk lamp..only because I can adjust the wavelength to “incandescent” - I cannot stand fluorescent lighting and until now LED’s were not my cup of tea.

The wattage claims are..err..IMO overrated but unquestionably more efficient.

I like smoke! On food or in the air equally well.
