Hi guys,

It was hard to make stuffs during last few months due to unavailability of free times and weather was not also favorable especially just before Diwali. So picked and chose some old stars, rocket motors and others to assemble some fireworks to celebrate Diwali but It was raining just on that day. Therefore celebrated “Belated Diwali” when weather became favorable for fireworks and enjoyed with my family and friends. I would like to share those with you as well.

Very nice. What is the putty you are using to attach the header on the 4 oz. rockets? Just curious in the matter, I normally use some hot glue to connect the two.

Thanks!!

It was also a type of hot glue which was milky white in appearance and I used a lot to attach the header more securely.

I was especially impressed with the rockets! The motors were so well made and the tail was great. For such small headers, the effects were impressive. It would be nice to get more detail on the motors and the red strobe headers :)

Thank you all for your comments and likes!!

The motors were nothing special, those were some simple 1/2” id nozzled core-burners made with a tool having spindle with 1/4” dia at the base and 3.75” long. I made around 100/150 such motors four years ago and still I have some in my stock. IIRC I milled 16/5/3 and added extra 3 parts of - 60 +120 mesh charcoal after milling and granulated with water+alcohol and hand-rammed the composition in about 5% damp condition and left it to dry for about one month before testing. I used a bit more than one id delay with the same composition and used no bulkhead. Charcoal was home-made from “Debdaru”, as we call it locally which is actually “Monoon longifolium”.

All the headers were actually slow-flash broken ‘bombette’ type can shell.
