Got some 15 dollar bi203 from fwcb and tried the Chinese crackle micro stars formula and they are just smoldering for a bit then they will just poof like a strobe no pops at all. Copper oxide black 66 mg/also 200 mesh 28.5 and bi203 5.5 bound with 5 grams of double base and 2/3 cup acetone and screened thru an 8 mesh screen. They are very bright but no pop at all.

That is not a known published working crackle formula. It's just some B S made up shit. From a Chinese EX application form. It will never work, move on to a real crackle formula.

I'm glad I only made 100 gram batch. I made the Lloyd comp couple years ago and it worked great. But then Ned gorski made a video of that comp using black copper oxide and it worked I asked him where he got it and said fwcb. Oh well I tried I'll make it like before with 71% bismuth. Thanks

I just started making crackle and I am using the 37.5 / 37.5 / 25 formula 25 being magnalium. And it works fantastic. I'm using black copper oxide.https://youtu.be/dA1LipAsSms
