JayDee2 Posted March 25, 2021 Share Posted March 25, 2021 (edited) In May I am relocating from Australia to the UK.I have been building fireworks here for very many years, but sadly in more recent years increasingly forced to operate "under the radar" due to the ever tightening legislative noose and Gov crack down on all things even remotely related to our hobby activities. I have been a member of the Pyrotechnics Guild International for many years, but have currently let it lapse due to the uncertainty of how things will pan out for me in the UK.Just about all of my experience and activity over the years has been in designing and building 3, 4 , and 5 inch aerial shells. I have a Wasp Superstinger, and a pretty impressive vibrating star roller that I designed and built myself. Also being an electronics engineer I have designed/modified/updated some firing systems to improve the range, reliability, and increased the firing amps power. I have also got miles of gummed tape in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 iinch and cartons of passfire tubes. As well as a huge stock of chemicals which I will have to sadly no doubt have to dump or give away as I can't transport them to the UK without without drawing attention from the "fun police" - or even worse...!Is there any amateur Pyro activity still happening on the UK, or has it all totally sadly died? If there is then it would be great to hear from anyone (Private message is fine). I need to know if there is any sense in me bringing all my tools, equipment and gear with me the the UK? As well as shell hemis, boxfulls of gummed tape, passfire tubes, 3, 4 and 5 inch mortor tubes c/w associated racks. I would like to get some money for it, but only looking at a fraction of their cost. Also got some other "hard to come by" compounds that I have found to be very useful.Does your friend also have any interest in purchasing my Wasp Superstinger c/w dedicated laptop and working files for 3, 4 and 5 inch shells?
