Ground Spinners Questions

Hello I need some guidance on making ground spinners. I would like to make a small and larger version.

Tube Sizes:

Small - 1/4" ID X 2" Length, .041" Wall .332" OD

Large - 1/2" ID, 2.5" Length, .675" OD

ok so for now I would like to make these pink in color when they start spinning, so I am going to try either Pink Chempac or Pink Tableau (Weingart)

For Chempac it's:

Potassium Nitrate 10 PTs

Strontium Nitrate 40

Sulphur 4

Charcoal 3

so now I have some questions:

1: How Do I Mix This Color Formula Together Properly? Do I just literally mix them as is with nothing else needed? Since it is not stars they don't need to be binded together.

2: Will I need to add something extra to give the powder more energy to get the tube spinning right since this is just a pink color formula and not really a fuel?

3: When making the devices do I just add the powder as is or would I be required to ram the comp?

For a spinning device, a thick side walled tube is preferable. 1/8" and up can work, depending on the burn duration and effect.

To mix a comp properly, it should be screen mixed. The combined comp ( excluding course hard metals ) should be worked through a 20-30 mesh screen, a minimum of 3 times. With gloved hands or a " squeegee " you can get by with one of those handled cooking screen colanders. But a proper sized screen does work better.

I would look for Chris H's pink formula. Those old school, antiquated formulas your referencing. Will be underwhelming at best.

Any tube type device, that you needed to do "work" or create motion over time, will need to be rammed or pressed. If the device is to have any duration. So that it burns from one end to the other, rather than instantaneously.
