Iceland Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) Dear members, have been using the diaper method for years, and didn't think much further, but last time I used it I tried putting the piece of paper a bit more towards eachother.. you could hear the sound like you are walking in snow sounding like: "group" like you put your boot into snow.. Like the alu and perchlorate was pushed into eachother... This is a form of friction in my opinion and I wonder what your experiences are with that..ofcourse I tried hammer test and spark test first before I tried this.. Another thing I tested was spreading it like you are spreading a sandwich with butter... on a large sheet of paper.. with a wooden tool.. This way the chemicals get really into eachother.. in between diaper again.. Warning this seems a lot more dangerous than the traditional diaper method and I only tried this for research with protection. So what I was wondering: what is more dangerous using a finer faster flashpowder and traditional diaper or using a less fine flash powder but use a little more aggressive snowboot and spreading mixing method. I remember there were videos on youtube about 10 years ago where people were testing 0.1 grams flashpowders.. and see what kind of poof it made I wonder if there are still people willing to do this? or any links to videos? Simply pressing some together with more force will not make it more reactive but depending on the composition of the flash could make it ignite without warning.
