Interesting book with pyrotechnic compositions from the beginning of 20th century

I'm not sure I would follow too many of these. I've only looked through the first couple of pages so far and I already see arsenic and mercury compounds being used (realgar and Calomel). Just thought some of you might get a kick out of reading some of this:

It also has a rather large collection preparations of all sorts of things which is why I originally was looking through it. Enjoy!

 

Anyone know why in the world they would suggest using lead acetate when making fuse?

 

2nd edit: WOOWWWW some of the "magic" is so incredibly dangerous.

 

"Soak a sponge in gasoline, light it, and drop it into your mouth. TADDAAA-eating fire!"
