dlking59
I have a 12 ton hydraulic press. If I want to use this instead of the hammer ram to pound clay, fountains, etc. How do I know how much pressure to use. I don't have a pressure guage set up on this press but am looking to get one. dagabu
I agree, make/buy/rent a Pressure To Force Gauge (PTOF) to measure the Loading Pressure on the comp. I made my own from section of 3" aluminum, bored one piece out to 1 square inch of area and turned another down to accept an o-ring and fit inside the bored hole. Here is the idea:

dlking59
I went with the one from woodysrocks. I talked to celeb and he recommended this one 10,000 psi 1/1. He was an extremely nice guy to talk to and the woman that answered the phone was extremely nice also.
