dlking59
Good idea. Just what I need to cut my tape into more narrow rolls. Thanks
Col
Nice job. I would make a stand to clamp the drill in place to keep the tape straight and under even tension as its wound onto the takeup reel.
NeighborJ
I had to change that so I could get everything in frame for filming. I switched hands so I wasn't in the way and the 3"roll is normally dragging against the wall so it doesn't keep spinning when I stop. I've been using this cuter for the last 2 years and find it's best if the drill is floating by hand so any inconsistencies are dampened. The first attempt used a riggid mount for the takeup reel and I tore a few strips off because I couldnt manually compensate for tension variations. Col
I added resistance by sandwiching the roll between an aluminium plate and a 7" vinyl single
