MadMat Posted September 18, 2018 Share Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) Karo is corn syrup. It is composed of fructose sugar instead of sucrose (white sugar). In actual candy making it is added to prevent crystallization of the sucrose (crystals in candy would be nasty). In Rcandy, it improves on brittleness which helps prevent cracking in cast grains.The fastest burn rate you are going to get from Rcandy is with the proper stoichiometric formula (65/35 is almost perfect) and the addition of a couple percent red iron oxide. Unless there is some special secret out there, that is about it.
