markx Posted July 11, 2019 Share Posted July 11, 2019 I've noticed the same. They seem to get as far as a working prototype, then nothing. I suspect they are "builders" that didn't understand what they were getting into. Building the first machine is maybe half the work, you still have to get it working properly. That can take a lot of trial and error, IIRC Lloyd called running his Bickford machine "a four hour heart attack". They can be a fickle beast indeed, them visco weavers. Built one years ago and I can surely agree that getting it together in one piece is just the beginning of problems But I have been refining it from time to time and after "some" upgrades I can deem it working rather satisfactory.
