Whistle mix

Anyone heard of that the indian have whistle mix without perchlorate im pretty sure i did read something about that somewhere.

Chlorate whistle is what comes to mind. I haven't played with it but I know many have and they will usually mix it with perchlorate to desensitized the mix.

It could be chlorate and KHP. I use the KHP and perc on shorter spindles and WOW they are powerful, I could only imagine them with chlorate.

Aside from maybe perch/benzoate with no catalyst I don't know if I'd consider whistle the best for newbies. I know I'm being a little hypocritical as it was my favorite from the get go but I stand by it. Whistle is strong stuff and can be quite sensative.

Here's a test I did on my first batch of whistle from 3 summers ago. It was placed in a condiment cup from McDonalds and couldn't have been more than 2 grams.

yes this mixture needs to be compressed :)

 

my first rockets have poor pressing and become my loudest petards

I know a fella who made a tooling mistake pressing WM, cost him 3 fingers. Think there was a guy on here had the same thing happen w/ hybrid motors a few years back too.

It requires dilligent attention to safety and detail, is all I'm sayin.
