Good breaks, but not so even color change, which is what I'm always focusing more on.

What kind of break did you use?

Did you not sieve the stars on a max size to create a uniform color change?

Thanks to everyone who commented and liked my post.

@ExplosiveCoek-I made stars which was just sufficient for three shells only so didn't have option to sort out the odd ones and actually my intention was to just see how the star looks in action and the strength of break charge as well. If I go for a competition by any chance, I will remember your words for sure.

I used MCRH with a bit slow flash booster for break charge.

Ah I understand, thanks for the explanation.

What kind of slow flash? there are a lot of them :)

I used apertura, which is KNO3:KClO4 1:1 for 7 parts with 3 parts of GD Al. Roughly 30 g for 6'' with 10 layers pasting. But still the stars were a bit droopy.

12 grams of slow nitrate flash (KNO3-5, Indian dark-3, sulfur-2) with 14 layers of pasting and I used homemade newspaper hemis.
