I think I need more Costa Rican shoreline and shells.......sea shells! What comp was that and what size? They sure had some hang time.

Very nice man! 5's are where it starts to get more challenging to dial everything in. I think your lift was probably good if you had the gun aimed straight up. Since you angled it out over the water, it didn't get as much altitude, but still looked cool as hell!! As for burst, just add booster.. 3g at a time until you get it where you like it. I like 10-15g of 70/30 in a 5, depending on the type of shell. Maybe even 20g in a hard breaking color shell. But the good thing about charcoal streamers like the one you tested, they even look great when they are broken gently. Well done.

What size canulle did you use, and how did you spike the shell? A 5" cylinder typically does break a bit harder than what's shown in the video. Edited by Wiley

the way the stars change on the way down kept surprising me! i thought it was beautiful and the soft broken effect made them all the better. a coarse, lasting titanium rising tail might look nice on those. good job! thanks for sharing it!

used a 1 7/8s inch canulle, standard spiking for a 5inch shell 2 strands of 1 mm hemp

That's actually a big canulle for a 5". Are you using plenty of polverone to pack in your stars?

More spiking is generally better. I typically rin shells with the Fulc-recommended spiking pattern both times, thereby effectively using double the recommended spiking pattern.

You are pasting your string, correct?

no i never have pasted the string, yes the stars are packed with polverone. I have never rind a shell yet , but have watched and read about your shells

In Italio-American cylinder construction, the string should be well-saturated with paste before applying it to the shell. Simply load your horse with string, then use a brush or your hands to slather paste onto it. Once the string has absorbed some moisture and lost some of its wetness, apply more paste and spike your shell(s). Any excess string can be left to dry on the horse. Applying more paste to it will soften it back up again.

I just noticed when the shell breaks you can hear a howler monkey in the background . love living in the jungle.
