2,5" Tiger Tail + 10% Bright Ai flakes

A nice 2,5" shell with TT + 10% Bright Ai flakes. It was a very nice break.
I made this star for the first time, today they were dry. So time to test them out.

If you are planning to try this compo, note that the stars requires a proper prime. BP + Silicon will do.
Just BP wont light them properly.

Break charge (10 Grams of flash powder):
6 Barium Nitrate
3 Ai Indian Dark
1 Sulfur

He asked how its made, not what it is. If your not able to accurately answer a specific question, just don't.

Amongst the hobbyist pyro community, there are quite a few variations on how some people may make their BP. Individual component milling, batch milling, binder choices, RG,dex, sgrs, solvent choices, iso, Denatured, water, water/alcohol, some may even use e85, screen granulation, corned and pucked. Some people will corn it straight out of the die, some will corn after its dried. Those are just some of the possibilities.

Just because you watched Ned's free 101 series on YouTube. It doesn't make you half the pyro god, you seem to think you are. You might want to try watching 201,301, and the in progress 401. And, then doing some practical hands on application.

Read the other posts. "How" includes "what" in this instance. The kid is still trying to make BP with a mortar/pestle, probably with shitty charcoal, and considering adding Al powder (which is not easily available in his locale and he doesn't know how to acquire or make, which is probably a good thing, for now) to make up for his fuel shortcomings. He's the usual young Newbie that is very eager to learn but inexperienced enough to take shortcuts and guesses and possibly blow his face off by accident.

And you, dear Madam, are simply a nitwit with limited demonstrated capabilities, pyro or logical. But thank you for sharing your imaginary wisdom and experience from the armchair. I hope it isn't cutting into your routine of watching Matlock reruns.

Now do something useful from your Lay-Z-Boy reclining chair, old Hallway Monitor Lady, and help the kid learn how to make a ball mill and manufacture functional BP, ffs.

Are you implying that I should help him, as well as you did, in your original post above. Talking down to or ridiculing people, is a pretty low bar you've set. Have anything more challenging, its not even worth getting out of my recliner for.

Why are you getting angry??I asked him because my BP is not too powerful, so i want to know what method did he follow...

After I found that composition I was surprised. That's why I posed my doubt...I know very well , that it may cause a risk factors...I have been making fireworks for last 8 to 10 years.but now I am trying to make shells last 2 years. After that I am facing different issue related to this... I think you understand...

Regards.

Don't mind him, simple questions often stress him out.

The most important factor for good BP is charcoal. Softer woods are better for BP, generally. Harder woods are generally better for spark effects.

After charcoal, ball milling, with a dense non-sparking media ( Hardened lead is most commonly used ) Is the most efficient method for hobbyist production.

Pran, if you've been making fireworks for 8-10 years, apart from rebuilding commercial fireworks, they you would not be asking newby questions on the basics of BP and Al. Everybody's happy to help you, but the info to assist your undescribed (in detail) efforts is available at length in multiple threads. Again, do some background research and all will be happy to assist your efforts, but nobody is going to want to hold your hand through the process. Read, man.

Pranab, I can understand your problem. Seems you're not getting good quality charcoal or you don't have the idea. Can you cook charcoal by yourself? If yes, then make charcoal from jute sticks & reserve them for BP only. Charcoal for Tubri is no good for BP lift.

Granulate BP with water only. For BP I use grains that passes through 200mesh only.

Yes!!!I am going through all possible things about making BP... Actually the fireworks that I am making is not BP Based.although some amount of BP is necessary but that is not as powerful as for lifting of a shell. I think my charcoal is not good for BP.making strong BP is under process...

Thanks...
