Scorpion812
Hi everyone,so i finally made some KClO3 by electrolysis, and want to use it for stars, but i can't find any formula for a blue stars. I thought maybe use copper carbonate, since i made some ages ago, but i don't know what ratios i should use.Can anyone tell me? List of my chemicals: KClO3, KNO3, S, 45µm Al, german dark, poor quality CuO, CuCO3, CuSO4, K2CO3, softwood mix CC, spruce CC, hardwood CC, FeO, Graphite powder, dextrin, PVC pipes, FIMO
greenlight
Most chlorate blues I have seen have used paris green as well.Potassium chlorate has been phased out and replaced by potassium perchlorate in most places because of sensitivity issues so most formulas use KP. Paris green is also avoided due to toxicity. This thread has a couple of potassium chlorate blues on page 2 using the chems you have: http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/4931-lactose-blue-or-conkling-blue/page-2 Edited September 11, 2017 by greenlight

In this thread, they often use Parlon, which i don't have. Can you tell me a composition for a blue stars using the chemicals listed above? Mumbles
You must not have tried very hard if you couldn't find any chlorate based blue compositions. You may want to try google. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&q=potassium+chlorate+blue+star&oq=potassium+chlorate+blue+star Also, this section is for tried and true formulas, not generic spoon feeding questions so it's getting locked.
