NeighborJ
My old TLUD was getting a bit thin and I'm out growing it so I made a new one this morning from an old oil drum and a 7" flue pipe. It's a bit smokey so I think I'll need to add a few more holes in the bottom. The secondary combustion air enters at the base of the flue pipe and is adjustable according to how far I press it down. Once I get it dialed in I'll install stops.
OldMarine
Man, you'll be cooking a bale at a time or more in that one!
NeighborJ
Got this thing purring like a kitten. My first run yielded 2500g of pine AF after milling. I used 10 cu ft of compressed pet bedding. My second run is still too hot to mill but I was able to use 12 cu ft and it seemed to have an even better yield. I'm happy, this should keep me busy for a while before I need to make more. Now I can concentrate on other activities.
