braddsn
Beautiful!! I am curious, how did you make the yellow comets with the silver tails? I assume these were mated comets?
Zmuro
Awesome shells man, can you share the formula for TI chrysanthemum?
ExplosiveCoek
Very nice! What kind of break configuration do you use, and what kind of priming do you apply on your stars?

CrossOut
Sorry for late reply guys. Comets can be made with addition of ti to composition to give it a tail. Ti chrys formula is kno3 30, charcoal 30, ti (40-100 mesh) 27, sulfur 8, binder 5. Formula usually uses Dex for binder i used srgs to roll Toro method. Yes the composition adds to more than 100. I tweaked it to get the performance i want. Not sure what you mean by break configuration i assume you mean the pattern for 8"? I just add the comets and stars around then to get an even distribution. In this case i had 2" diameter .75" thick. And for 2 .75" stars in-between. Prime used was manocopa. Ti stars didn't get prime just a light dusting of 4f bp on last layer to give surface area. Edited October 6, 2016 by CrossOut
ExplosiveCoek
With break configuration I meant, break charge and amount of pasting. I really liked the hard/strong break on those shell's, looking sweet!
Sparx88
Nice shells. Love the purple/yellow combo on the 8 reminds me of a crocus sativa flower. All things glitter and long hanging effects like that last 12 is a plus. Edited October 7, 2016 by Sparx88
CrossOut
Thanks. It's actually suppose to be green and purple but my camera sucks. Purple and yellow is also pretty. For my break, i use 4:1 paulownia hulls. Sos had straight hulls, triple pedal has 10g whistle added. 8's had whistle dusted hulls. I don't weigh my burst.. i know I'm bad. I literally and pack the burst into each hemi till it can't hold any more. I use bamboo skewers to help pack it into small areas then i tap it down and pack more till full. Then i toss on another hand full before closing and force it shut. In the end the 12" triple weighed about 26 lbs. For posting i use a wasp and set it to paste 26 layers. It doesn't fully paste the 26 layers as it runs out of tape about half way through the last layer. In total 2 rolls of 1.5" tape.
