Has anyone experimented with adding a coat of NC lacquer to the chinese visco to make it more water resistant?

I would think that a coating of NC laquer if applied correctly would indeed make it more water resistant.

What are you doing with it that you need it more water resistant?

In the UK we principally do fireworks for 5th November when it's cold and wet, usually raining and just possibly frosty. All we would normally do is lay the visco in sellotape or clear packing tape and fold the tape over the visco. Your Rothy will take no seconds at all to light through the tape.

We often wrap the entire cake in cling film.

NC lacquer coating visco is industry standard for waterproofing. jsut a heads up if you put too much it is possible that the lacquer coating on the outside can burn up the fuse faster than the fuse its self..

I would like to put it on the fast fuse as it does not come with any real coating to speak of. The issues were with wheels that were fused up prior to the show and then the fuse failed cause of the damp.
