Lloyd, things can be misinterpreted. I read it as joking around personally, but apparently you did not. That is understandable. Both sides have had their chance to respond and state what they want. I'd appreciate it if you guys could drop it now. Nothing productive will be accomplished by rehashing this over and over or hurling insults and slights toward one another.

If you would like some insight into NC based colored flames, there is some published information out there. In Best of American Firework News vol 5, on page 149-150 there is an article by the aforementioned Russ Nickel, and contains some details. The devil is of course in the details, but it will get you on the right path for flame projectors at least. If you search the patent literature, there are some from him as well on making NC based stars. They tend to require a bit more exotic colorants than one would typically find in a typical pyro workshop though. I included a couple patents for anyone who are interested. The combined information tells about 90% of the story. That last 10% largely focuses on blue colorants and stars. I know to some degree what is in it and what it took to arrive there, and will assure you that it is somewhat complex and certainly took a lot of tuning to get it working. Good luck to anyone who tries. You wont just happen upon the answer.

Mumbles,

I'd dropped it, as of yesterday, early A.M.... and I presume Mr.B did also, about the same time, as I'd seen no response today about it. I think it was already dropped...

Russ Nickel is a personal friend and pretty close business associate. If there are questions you have (which he can ethically answer without taking from a client), I'm sure he'd be glad to contribute -- if perhaps through an intermediary. I've not seen him take part in a lot of on-line discussions, directly.
