My text messages blew up this morning with news that the Pyro Universe forum is shut down. I have not participated much over there in a while. What did I miss? More of Colin taking subscription money with no server matainance?

Yes right now Pyro Universe and there is no ETA as to when it will be back online and there is a good chance the owner doesn’t even know the place is offline. Many of the current members have moved over and setup accounts on http://en.freakpyromaniacs.com/forum/to continue club event and group buy discussions. This is the 3rd year in a row the U has had system down issues at about this time of year. So many of the members are using http://en.freakpyromaniacs.com/forum/ as a back up to continue communications.

I did see that Pyro Universe was back online. I also read that someone was able to get the issue resolved without Colin's involvement. That is nice, but not "right" and a little upsetting that he seems to have abandoned his site. I did sign up for an account on the freakpyromaniac site. While most of my pyro efforts involve commercial shows or club shoots, I still like to check out some of the other events from time to time.

Colin posted a bulletin stating that he regrets the lack of attention he's given to the site recently, but also requesting understanding that he has had some health issues. It sounds like the wheels of change are in motion.
