Arthur
Looking in the stores, I have some shells marked 6" blue and 6" red with only a picture logo of a pagoda. they are real commercial shells but VERY light weight. I'm thinking more on the lines of Poka shells (as Shimizu) good lift but little break and maybe non pyro inserts, parachutes? streamers? silk things? Anyone have a clue that might help please. I'll have to just fire one if nothing comes up and I only have six.
nater
They are sometimes called lantern shells. They are most similar to a parachute. Try and picture a parachute crossed with sky lantern. They usually display a red flare and are heavy enough to descend slowly. You are right that they are very light for the size. As a result, they are heavy on the lift charge to get them to the proper height. We like to use them at a couple of events, but I have never been able to recover the lantern.
